Outdoors company, Yeti, makers of coolers, has opened its first physical store in its hometown of Austin, Texas. At 8,000 sq ft, the store is all about experience, which represents the product and the brand ethos.
The store features an indoor/outdoor bar and a stage for a live band. The space also features scenes where Yeti coolers can be brought to life with speed-boats, sports utility vehicles and a very large stuffed grizzly bear. Outdoor gadgets such as penknives and fishing tackle are in every nook and cranny of the shop.
The brand’s local heritage is demonstrated by the 12,000 beer bottle mural of the Texan flag. The space also features an event space and in-store cinema.
The experience store is a recognition that people do not buy coolers every day but the brand has created a reason to visit the store regularly.
