The 1,076 sq ft store is the second space that the brand has opened in Sao Paulo; four years ago it debuted in the city with a store in the Cidade Jardim centre.
Progress for luxury brands has been particularly tough in Brazil due to the prolonged recession in the South American country following what had been a long retail boom.
Situated on the ground floor, the store has been designed by the UK-based luxury retail architects David Chipperfield in collaboration with the brand’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. The design follows cues from its latest concepts with a matching grey terrazzo floor and walls with built-in brass hanging rails made softer and more contemporary by counter textures of bronze and oak furniture, soft carpeting and grey leather used in the dressing rooms.
The store showcases the entire range of ready-to-wear womenswear, accessories and bags.
