Personal online shopping business Trunk Club has opened its seventh physical retail space, which it calls a Clubhouse, in Boston.
The retailer sells bridge through to luxury labels and offers bespoke tailoring services. It is owned by US department store Nordstrom, which already runs Clubhouses in Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C.
The Boston location, on Boylston Street in the Back Bay area of the city, trades across 18,000 sq ft in a third floor loft-style space. It has seven fitting lounges and was reportedly chosen because the brand has a lot of Boston-based customers using its online personal shopping service. The Clubhouse includes an offering for both men and women and along with the brand’s other physical spaces it is all about providing a one-on-one shopping experience which means a relaxing environment with a full bar and café service. Brands showcased in the store include brands including John Varvatos, Paige Denim, Rodd & Gunn, Theory, Gant, AG Jeans, Vince, Billy Reid and Belstaff.
