Muji has reopened its Tokyo flagship store bringing new innovations including the sale of fresh vegetables and fruits and a small space concept.

The fresh produce, sold on the first floor, is seasonal only and must use little or no chemicals. Sitting alongside everyday grocery items, the fruit and vegetable are displayed in wooden boxes in the traditional uniform Muji storage fashion.

Emphasising the importance of food as a driver of footfall, there is also a vegetable soup bar on the first floor and a cafe on the second floor.
