Italian luxury label Marni has recreated an old school playground called Marni Playland in Milan to celebrate the city’s design week.
Each scene is differentiated by circular, colored sand pits with play equipment and furniture created in Columbia. The retro-style furniture is made from wood and steel with woven colored plastics that form geometric shapes.
The majority of the installation is undercover in a stripped back building with concrete walls and pillars. The circular swings are in the outside garden.
Visitors can interact with the playground to create their own scene or sit and relax on the Marni print picnic blankets or rocking furniture.
Milan Design Week continues its dominance of fashion and furniture brands making a strong statement.
