To celebrate Colette’s 20th Birthday, the French luxury concept store has teamed up with IKEA to create new in-store experiences.
IKEA has taken over the windows, the ‘water bar’ and created an art exhibition, making this the first time the brand has ventured outside it’s blue and yellow megastores to partner with another retailer.
The Colette windows feature the iconic Scandinavian products such as the bookcase which have been reinterpreted by Colette designers. The blue plastic IKEA bag also has been reinterpreted featuring the same plastic with a new white and blue dot design.
The water bar has temporarily become the IKEA Bar with a complete new look and feel with bright-coloured furnishings from the brand and a northern influenced menu. The two brands have also appointed artists to create posters which represent IKEA.
As part of Colette’s celebrations, they have also brought Snarkitecture’s Beach concept to a Paris museum. The beach themed installation features a giant pool of clear plastic balls for endless child and adult entertainment.
