AXEL ARIGATO POPS UP IN STOCKHOLM

Some brands are just too cool to do pop-up shops and Axel Arigato is one of these, preferring to describe the unit it recently debuted in Stockholm as a temporary concept store.

The concept part shines through here as however temporary the space at the “Axel Arigato Gallery” the brand has put time and a great deal of thought into the interior.

The store is designed by Christian Halleröd, who also created the look for the brand’s London store. The agency has gone for one color message – yellow set against a bright white-walled canvas.

The effectiveness of the minimalist theme is anchored via the yellow-tinted windows and then built on by the use of large yellow furry seating cubes.

The look of the store, located in the Bibliotekstan shopping district of the city, was a collaborative effort between the architect and brand creative director Max Svärdh.

The idea was to surprise the Axel Arigato fan without moving away from the brand’s minimal approach to interiors.
