AIRBNB + PANTONE

AirBnb has once again created a newsworthy partnership, this time joining with Pantone to create a house in the colour of the year – “Greenery”.  The house is located in modish Clerkenwell in East London and is available to rent – preferably if you like the colour green.

The red brick façade has a feature door, which is painted in Pantone “Greenery and once inside the space is like living in an indoor greenhouse with different types of foliage – from dense woodlands and shrubbery to jungle and forests.

Carpet has been replaced with green grass and the bedrooms have a camp-style feel, particularly in the children’s rooms that have vine-covered Indian teepee beds.

The communal wooden dining room table sits inside a greenhouse lined with shelves of plants. The green crockery complements the dining room interiors.

The colour green was chosen as it represents the current trend of wellness and people looking for an escape from the stressful world we live in.

The Pantone colour for 2018 will be announced in December this year.
